The voice was amazing in this book and when a character spoke it would feel like you were right next to them. This is because that had their own way of talking and communicating with each other. When a character got hurt, I felt sorry for them and the author did a great job of character development and personality.
The creativity in this book was very good and had a lot of unique ideas and plot lines. The book had different groups of aliens with different, developed personalities and also had a special group of people called Space Jumpers. They can teleport any where they want using a special type of belt. He also had different groups of characters and had a type of segregation similar to what the black/white people situation was back in the 1960s. The equivalent of the black people in the Softwire series are called knudniks, and are treated very badly and treated like slaves. They serve people called Gurantators, who are citizens of the setting, the Rings of Orbis.
Overall, I thought that this was a great book and recommend it to everyone out there that likes science fiction, action, adventure, and futuristic technology. I would also give this book four and a half out of five stars for its character development, creativity, organization, and voice.

ReplyDeleteI really liked how you talked about the different parts of writing when you described this book. But next time you might want to try putting more about the story line in your piece. For example when you said "When a character got hurt, I felt sorry for them" you could say what part of the book that happened in or put a quote from the book in.
