Adam and Eve Cause/Effect Essay

Author's Note: This is a writing piece where I had to analyze cause and effect events in the sections Genesis 2 and 3 in the Holy Bible. I will also be analyzing the climax of these two sections.

Almost everyone knows the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. At the beginning of time, God created Adam and then Eve, who worked together to create the human race. They were put into the Garden of Eden and would live there forever, unless they ate the forbidden fruit. When they were first put into the Garden of Eden, God told them that if they ate the forbidden fruit, they would be cast out of the Garden and become mortal. He also gave Adam and Eve a second commandment, which was to multiply and replenish the Earth.

After Adam and Eve had been living a while in the Garden of Eden, Satan tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit. The temptation was too much, and Eve gave in and ate the fruit. As a consequence, she was banished from the Garden forever and became mortal. Adam then had a choice between not eating the forbidden fruit and staying in the Garden, or eating it and joining Eve in a mortal life on Earth. Adam chose to follow Eve and eat the fruit, which resulted in him being cast out of the Garden and becoming mortal.

When Eve decided to partake of the fruit, it had an impact on the future forever. Because Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden, they acquired the knowledge to multiply and replenish the Earth. This allowed them to obey God's second commandment and create what would eventually become the human race.

If Eve had not partaken of the fruit, she never would have been banished from the Garden. As a result, Adam would have never been offered the fruit by Eve. If they had stayed in the Garden of Eden, we would not exist and I would not be able to write this brilliant paper. What she did was both good and bad: bad because she became mortal, and good because we exist and I can write this awesome paper. When Eve took that one simple bite of the fruit, it changed the world forever.
