Christmas Respect

At the beginning of time, people came up with different ways on how the world was created. This eventually led to the belief that supernatural being(s) had created it. Eons later, the basis of any religion is similar, with a supernatural being the heart of the religion. Christmas is celebrated around the country, with many stories and ways to celebrate it. We should all take pride and respect in the ways everyone celebrates Christmas.

As most of us reading this piece are Christian- I will not go over the beliefs them and will compare the Christian story and their beliefs to  Islam, a religion coming from Southeastern Asia.

Muslims believe that the purpose of existence is to worship God. Muslims also believe that Islam is the complete and universal version of the faith that was revealed at times before Moses, Abraham, and Jesus. They also have their equivalents of Christian prophets such as Abraham Isaac, and Jacob, Jacob being Yaq'ub, Isaac being Is'haq, and Abraham being Ibrahim.

Just because a person at school believes in a different religion than you and does or does not celebrate Christmas, we should respect them just as much as we would someone else that belongs to a different religion. They probably celebrate some other Christmas-type holiday, which associates with their beliefs. Lastly, we should not make fun of other people just because they belong to a different religion.

Instead of ignoring the people that don't celebrate Christmas, try to be friendly with them and maybe even make a new friend. You could also try talking to them to get to know more about them, their personality, and their religion.
